I understand that pregnancy, birth and life with a new baby are deeply personal experiences. You may share information about your health, your pregnancy, your family and your birth preferences with me, and I treat that information with care, respect and confidentiality.
This Privacy Policy explains how I collect, use, store and protect your personal information when you visit my website, contact me, book a service or receive support from me.
1. WHO I AM
Mystri Mumma is owned and operated by Pooja Mistry, providing doula, hypnobirthing, pregnancy, postnatal and family support services.

You are not required to provide every type of information listed above. I will only request information relevant to the service or support you are seeking.
By sharing information with Mystri Mumma, you acknowledge that confidentiality may be limited where information must be shared for safeguarding, safety or legal reasons, as explained in this Privacy Policy.

Mystri Mumma stores client information digitally.
The platforms I use include:

7. WHO MAY ACCESS OR RECEIVE YOUR INFORMATION
Your personal information is treated as confidential.
Access is limited to me and, where necessary, an appropriately appointed backup doula.
Backup doula arrangements
If I am unavailable or need to arrange backup support, I may share relevant information with a backup doula so that they can understand your support needs and provide appropriate continuity of care.
I will aim to share only the information necessary for that purpose.
Any backup doula receiving your information is expected to maintain confidentiality and handle it securely in accordance with applicable data protection requirements.
Maternity professionals
I will not routinely share your personal or health information with midwives, doctors or other maternity professionals without your permission.
Information may be shared where you have agreed to it, where it is necessary and lawful to provide the support you have requested, where required by law, or in other circumstances permitted by applicable data protection law.
Service providers
The digital platforms and payment providers I use may process information on my behalf or as independent data controllers.
They are responsible for their own privacy practices and may process information in accordance with their respective privacy policies and contractual arrangements.
I do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Safeguarding & Duty to Share Information
Confidentiality is central to the support I provide. However, there may be circumstances where I need to share personal information without your consent to protect you, your baby, another child or another person from a risk of harm.
This may include situations where I have a serious concern about:

Your safety or wellbeing, including a risk of self-harm or suicide.

The safety or wellbeing of your baby, a child or another vulnerable person.

A risk of abuse, neglect, domestic abuse or harm to yourself or others.

Where I believe information needs to be shared to address a safeguarding concern, I will aim to share only the information that is necessary and proportionate to the concern.
Depending on the circumstances, information may be shared with appropriate professionals or authorities, such as your maternity team, GP, health visitor, social services, safeguarding services or emergency services.
Where it is safe and appropriate to do so, I will aim to discuss the concern with you before sharing information. However, this may not always be possible, particularly where doing so could increase the risk of harm, place someone at further risk or compromise a safeguarding response.
Any sharing of information will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection law and safeguarding responsibilities.
Your safety, your baby's safety and the safety of others will always be taken seriously.
8. HOW LONG I KEEP YOUR INFORMATION
I retain client information only for as long as it is reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, taking into account legal, accounting, insurance, professional and business requirements.
Different types of information may need to be kept for different periods.
For example:

Financial and invoice records may need to be retained to meet applicable tax and accounting requirements.

Agreeing to receive doula, hypnobirthing or postnatal support does not mean you have agreed to have your information, photographs or experience shared publicly.

Where content has already been published or shared, I will take reasonable steps to remove it from channels I control, subject to legal obligations and practical limitations.
You are never required to provide a testimonial or review as a condition of receiving support.
