I don’t believe you need a doula to tell you how to birth your baby.

You don’t need someone to take over.

You don’t need someone to promise you the perfect birth.

And you definitely don’t need fixing.

You need someone who gets that you are the expert in you — your body, your values, your circumstances and your baby.

My job is to walk beside you.

To give you evidence and balanced information.
To help you understand your options and your rights.
To support your nervous system when things feel overwhelming.
To suggest movement and positions when they may help.
To advocate for your wishes.
To support your birth partner, not replace them.
And to stay firmly in your corner when the plan changes.

Because birth doesn’t always follow the script.

My measure of a “positive birth” isn’t whether you got Plan A.

It’s whether you felt heard, respected, informed, involved and supported along the way.

I’m not a doula for everyone… and honestly, I’m OK with that.

After 7 years and 600+ families, I know my worth.

I know I’m not the cheapest doula you’ll find.
And I’m not trying to be.

Because when you choose me, you’re not just paying for someone to hold your hand on the day.

You’re paying for years of experience.

✨For the knowledge I’ve built supporting hundreds of families.

✨For knowing when to step in… and when to step back.

✨For knowing how to create space for birth to unfold without forcing it into a particular narrative.

I’m passionate about holistic birth.
But I’m also realistic.

So no… I’m not a doula for everyone. And I don’t want to be.

I want to be the doula for the woman who values experience over a bargain.

Who wants evidence and intuition.
Preparation and flexibility.
A holistic approach and a realistic one.

Someone who will genuinely get to know her- not just turn up when labour starts.

One of the things that saddens me most is that the majority of families who come to work with me are expecting their second baby.

Not because they’re more deserving of support.

But because their first birth left them feeling like something was missing.

They tell me things like…

“I wish I’d known my options.”

“I wish I’d asked more questions.”

“I wish I’d realised I could take my time before making a decision.”

“I wish I’d had someone who knew me, not just my notes.”

They aren’t looking for a different baby.

They’re looking for a different experience.

One where they feel heard, respected and involved in the decisions being made about their care.

So if you’re pregnant with your first baby, I want you to know this…

You don’t have to earn support by having a traumatic birth first.

You don’t have to wait until afterwards to discover what you wish you’d known.
